You should schedule your first prenatal appointment as soon as you find out you are pregnant. We typically schedule the first visit between 7 and 9 weeks of pregnancy, but we encourage you to call right away to get on the schedule.
Your first visit will include a comprehensive medical history review, a physical exam, a dating ultrasound to confirm your due date, and blood work. It’s also a great time to discuss your family history and any immediate concerns.
Not all medications are safe during pregnancy, but you should not stop taking any prescribed medication without consulting a doctor first. Please bring a list of all your medications and supplements to your first appointment for a thorough review.
We welcome patients transferring their care to Viva Eve. Please contact our office, and we will guide you through the process of requesting your medical records from your previous provider and scheduling your first appointment with us.
Generally, you will see us every 4 weeks until you are 28 weeks pregnant, then every 2-3 weeks until 36 weeks, and weekly thereafter until delivery. High-risk pregnancies may require more frequent visits.
Yes! We encourage partners or a support person to attend your appointments, especially for milestone visits like ultrasounds.
