Dr. Sophia Drosinos is an experienced and proactive Ob/Gyn whose main objective is to provide each woman she sees with the fundamental tools she needs to take control of her gynecological health and overall wellbeing. Her mission is to provide exceptional, individualized, compassionate, and comprehensive care to all her patients. Dr. Drosinos’ patients come to see her at at Viva Eve for preventative gynecologic care, both normal and high-risk pregnancies, multiple births, postpartum care, and infertility. Her clinical interest also includes management of abnormal pap smears, fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, menopause symptoms, contraceptive counseling, and management of vaginitis and urinary tract infections. She has an unmatched bedside manner and believes in listening to each patient and creating a partnership to maintain and improve lifelong health. Dr. Drosinos attended the University of Rochester, where she received her medical degree, and completed her residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Medical Center, Sloane Hospital for Women. Dr. Drosinos is affiliated with New York-Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Medical Center in New York. She is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the North American Menopause Society. She has received many honors for her exceptional care including the Castle Connolly Exceptional Women In Medicine Award for 5 years running and feature as Top Doctor in New York Magazine.

Dr. Courtney Alexander is an Ob/Gyn who believes great care starts with listening. Patients describe her as calm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to—someone who takes the time to explain, answer every question, and make them feel completely at ease. Dr Alexander provides a full range of Ob/Gyn care, from annual visits and birth control to pregnancy, fibroid symptoms evaluation and management, and everything in between. Her favorite part of the job is helping women feel confident, supported, and fully seen, especially when things feel overwhelming or unclear. Dr. Alexander earned her medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine, graduating at the top of her class. She completed her OB/GYN residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident and earned a reputation for her leadership, empathy, and calm presence under pressure. She has cared for women in a wide range of settings, from NYC hospitals to refugee clinics abroad, and brings that same compassion and clarity into every room she walks into.

Dr. Shannon Chang combines deep clinical knowledge with a calm, caring presence that instantly puts patients at ease. She’s passionate about providing thoughtful, thorough care for women at every stage of life—from first visits to family planning, fibroid care, menopause, and everything in between. Dr. Chang earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Ob/Gyn residency at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She also holds a B.A. in Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin, a foundation that shapes her warm, culturally sensitive approach to medicine. Dr. Chang takes the time to listen, explain, and connect with her patients. Her goal is always to make women feel seen, heard, and supported—whether they’re navigating a complex diagnosis or simply coming in for a routine check-up. Outside the office, you’ll find her cycling, weightlifting, cooking something new, or hanging out with her two very spoiled cats. She speaks Korean and has a long-standing passion for serving diverse communities and making healthcare feel more human.

Dr. Michael DiClemente is a highly skilled OB/GYN and surgeon who combines expertise with a thoughtful, patient-first approach. He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. With years of experience in both routine care and complex surgical procedures, Dr. DiClemente is known for his precision in the operating room and his ability to make patients feel at ease. He takes the time to listen, answer questions, and ensure his patients feel confident in their care. Whether performing advanced gynecologic surgery or guiding patients through pregnancy, he’s dedicated to delivering the highest quality treatment with skill and compassion. For Dr. DiClemente, being an OB/GYN isn’t just about medicine—it’s about building trust and helping women take charge of their health.

Dr. James Gohar is an entrepreneur and practicing obstetrician and gynecologist with over 20 years of experience in the medical women’s health space. As a leader in women’s health, Dr. Gohar has dedicated his career to delivering personalized, ethical and outstanding quality of care. After taking ownership of the women’s health medical center, Forest Hills Medical Services, in 2013, and establishing specialty women’s outpatient surgery practice, Viva Eve, in 2016, he saw the potential to build one consolidated practice that could cater to all women’s health needs. In 2021, he launched Viva Eve – a health destination offering integrated specialty care for women—from ObGyn services to fertility and fibroid treatments—under one warm and welcoming roof. Through Viva Eve, his mission is to redefine women’s healthcare to empower patients as active participants in their own personal healthcare journey. Dr. Gohar is driven to expand Viva Eve’s offerings, which center on top-tier patient experience and state-of-the-art medical techniques, to thousands of women residents throughout New York. He still practices as a physician at Viva Eve, and his number one priority continues to be his patients. He also serves as a Clinical Instructor at Weill Cornell School of Medicine and an Attending ObGyn at Mount Sinai West and New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Gohar received his medical degree from the historical Cairo University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Saloni Mathur is an OB/GYN who loves helping women feel seen, heard, and confident about their health. She provides care for all stages of life—from yearly checkups and family planning to pregnancy, postpartum, and minimally invasive gynecologic procedures. Dr. Mathur is passionate about women’s health and sexual education, and she takes the time to answer questions, explain options, and make sure every patient feels supported in their choices. She has experience with high-risk pregnancies and advanced gynecologic surgery, combining her expertise with a calm, compassionate approach. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, Dr. Mathur enjoys connecting with women from all backgrounds. Outside the office, she loves Bollywood dance, swimming, kickboxing, DIY projects, and volunteering with the Humane Society.

Dr Sohan is a board-certified physician with over 25 years of experience in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. He is also an expert gynecologic surgeon who has performed thousands of minimally invasive surgical procedures, bringing relief to women suffering from symptoms like heavy bleeding, severe cramps, pelvic pain, infertility, and more. He believes that the pain and the scarring after a surgical procedure should be minimal, the recovery time as short as possible, and complication rates extremely low. Dr Sohan performs a wide array of gynecological procedures using minimally invasive laparoscopically and robotically assisted surgical techniques. He balances technical and clinical expertise with the ability to connect with his patients and provide them with a unique personalized approach to treatment.

Maureen Cervantes is a warm and caring nurse practitioner at Viva Eve, with a deep commitment to supporting women through all aspects of their health. Specializing in women’s health, Maureen focuses on providing thoughtful, individualized care for women at every stage of their reproductive journey. She is passionate about helping new mothers with breastfeeding, guiding them through postpartum care, and offering advice on gynecological health. Maureen believes in creating a supportive, compassionate environment where her patients feel comfortable, respected, and empowered in their healthcare choices. Maureen recently earned her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner studies from Utica University, blending her advanced education with years of hands-on experience to provide excellent care. She is dedicated to ensuring women have the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their health. At Viva Eve, Maureen works closely with each patient to develop personalized care plans that focus on both short-term needs and long-term wellness. With her approachable and caring nature, Maureen is committed to making every patient feel heard and supported, and she strives to create an environment where women feel confident in their healthcare journey.

Sydney Jacobs is a caring and dedicated nurse at Viva Eve, known for her thoughtful, supportive approach to women’s health. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from Edgewood College and brings years of hands-on experience from busy labor and delivery units, where she cared for women through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery. At Viva Eve, Sydney supports patients across a full range of Ob/Gyn care. She takes the time to listen, answer questions, and help each patient feel comfortable and informed throughout their care. Whether you’re coming in for routine care, pregnancy support, or to address a specific concern, Sydney works closely with you to create a plan that feels right for your needs. Her goal is simple: to make sure every patient feels heard, supported, and confident in their care every step of the way.

Dami is a caring nurse practitioner at Viva Eve, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology in our New York and Forest Hills offices. With a Master’s degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School, she’s highly skilled in guiding patients through pregnancy and addressing a range of reproductive health concerns. Dami listens carefully, offers clear explanations, and helps patients make confident decisions about their care. Patients trust her not just for her expertise, but for the warmth and compassion she brings to every visit, ensuring they feel supported and well cared for.
